Hancock, P.A. (2009). Human Factors and Ergonomic issues involved in the disappearance and search for Amelia Earhart. Ergonomics in Design, 17(4), 19-23.

HF/E issues were also involved in the failed search to find the downed flyer and her navigator in the vastness of the Pacific Ocean.
