Dr. Ganey defended his dissertation in January, 2006. As a human factors professional, Dr. Ganey has worked for HumanCentric Technologies, Lenovo, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Currently, Dr. Ganey serves as a lead human factors scientist in the Combatant Craft Division Test & Evaluation Branch of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, where his work focuses on optimizing the design of high-speed craft for the warfighter.

He is certified as both a Certified Human Factors Practitioner and as a Certified Modeling and Simulation Professional.
